Twisted every way, what answer can I give?

Had a rather good night, actually. Sometimes, being a clerk is an okay job. I'm asking for next Friday and Saturday off, so i can attend a lovely little chess tournament in Little Rock. I may possibly win in my division, earning something like $100. If I win, I'll break even; if i lose...well, the experience should be well worth the expense.

If the purpose of a hobby is to provide enjoyment, should it not be free of any serious thought? If serious thought is involved, then the hobby is become a duty - to oneself, to observers, and to the divine nature of humankind.
