Once and Future Thing

I went on a crazy spending spree today. I bought the first System of a Down cd, as well as the latest Deftones album. Both are self-titled. What a coincidence! And they both rock muchly, which I already knew, because at one time or another, I've had both ripped to my computer. Now I own them. Uncle Sam can sleep in peace tonight! I also bought a Lexmark printer for $50, and so far I'm pretty happy with it. It kind of startled me the first couple of times it printed, because this annoying voice came from my speakers saying, "Printing started" and "Finished printing." or somesuch drivel. I was not impressed, and turned that option OFF. Silly printer software doing silly things. Who needs a voice status indicator?! At the least, they could have made it interesting, like..."Oh, wow, it DIDN'T jam this time!" That would be funny.
I stole my mom's webcam back from Bo again. I look goofy in it, I do. Particularly when I wear my headphones, which is pretty much always. I'm getting quite the USB wire trail on one side of my desk. I love it XD I want another monitor so bad, but no! Must resist, must be strong. $105 in one day is plenty of spending for the month. Well, almost. *plots* Yeah, money is very, very hot. My pants are ripping apart and evaporating from the heat! XD
Our apartment is running out of food, I'm back to Ramen and sandwiches. *sighs* Shopping trip tomorrow, possibly. Oh, and I need to shower, as I'm going to be with Renee on Monday. Ought to smell nice for that, right? *wistfully remembers grunge days* Ah, well, as I'll be cuddling with Kai the entire time, I doubt the duck will care how good I smell. That will be fun XD
I drew last night! Part two in a series of 10 or so.
The other night at work, a woman bought some stuff and had a debit card. I ran it as such FOUR TIMES, each time making her enter her PIN number. The first 3 times, I kept accidentally hitting "cancel" instead of "exact amount", taking it back to the payment prompt. The fourth time, it rejected her card, so I had to run it, the fifth time it went into the machine, as a credit card instead. It worked perfectly that time. Boy, was the woman irate. I think she believed I was doing it on purpose, to get her PIN or something. I was so embarassed, there was a huge line behind her and everything. Ugh. Silly debit cards.
This would have been longer, if I were a faster writer. Oh, well. :)
