Shogun was really cool. I wasn't too keen on having to sit with other people at the grill, but thankfully there was minimal space invasion. The cook tossing food at us doesn't count. I definitely wouldn't mind going there again, possibly at a less crowded time so I can peruse the menu (thank you Nay!) a bit more thoroughly. It was definitely weird seeing a bunch of southerners at a Japanese restaurant. I can only imagine what it must be like for the people who work there.

That was on Friday. Saturday morning, I got up at 7 after about an accumulated 2 hours of sleep (MAYBE) to practice Aikido for a couple of hours under Brett Baker's teacher George Jensen, who was visiting from Little Rock with several of his students. All in all, there were close to 15 aikidoka there, including 5 "skirts", or black belts (who get to wear the hakama). Considering I usually work with 3 others, this was a lot of people. Unfortunately, I had to leave early (I HATE WORK), but it was still a blast.
So that was my Japanese weekend. heh. Maybe next week I'll go Swedish or sommat. ;)
