There IS a spoon!
Tuesday, 20 May 2003 01:21Not today anymore, but I guess it still is. You know what I mean. Do you? First off, we planned to watch the Matrix: Reloaded together, all 5 of us, and maybe Kat. Well, Kat had to work and Erik went to Shoal Bay, and Dan agreed to fill in for his boss, whose cousin smashed herself up and is not expected to live. So 5 turned into 3, and we went anyway. Yes, the movie rocked. If you ever read this again, you'll know, because you will remember, but it must be said. The movie was awesome. We left feeling awed and frustrated, because it opens a 3-ton can of worms and forgets to close the lid again. Because it was perfect, and perfectly flawed. Because it was everything we should have expected, and like nothing I've ever known. I'm gonna have to see it again a couple of more times to understand anything about it.
Bah. Enough about movies. I mean, who watches movies? I worked my normal weekend, and yes; it sucked. I have today and today off (Monday and Tuesday), and I am not using the time wisely, thank you very much. Bo admitted today that he only passed two classes of 5 taken, and that he now has a .5 Grade Point Average in college. His mothers were not pleased. I was greatly amused, because I've gone through exactly the same process myself. It is worse and better than one usually expects, which is both a relief and a pain.
I made brownies today, and discovered that yes! Cheap brownies are as good as expensive brownies, at least when all you wnat is a sugar + chocolate rush.
