I bought a ton (well, a pound) of candy at the mall, and now my teeth hurt and my stomache is queasy. I had to look up that word just now because MAN that spelling looks wrong. o_0

I've thought about getting a new blog, and I've thought about starting a vlog. Youtube has sort of standardized the medium, I think, and it's somewhat more entertaining than ye olde written word. Then again, I'm not sure as many ideas can be expressed via webcam, and there are things I can write about but not say. I'm pretty sure I won't do either; my reasons for keeping a blog (such as they are) don't really extend far enough to making a new one.

So Nay and Matt are now in Florida and will be casing houses next week. I wish i could have gone, but such is life. The apartment was very quiet when I got back from the airport. :(

I spent much of my shift today at work mopping up the overflow from one of our floor drains and wringing it out. Over and over. Either a water pipe burst or something else got clogged or something, because smelly water was coming out of the 'in' hole. At one point, all three of us were just shoving this giant puddle of swamp water out the doors because it had a surge. Blech.

Finally, though, I was about to go home when - with nine minutes left in the shift - someone vomited. PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT. If you ever eat too much crap while drunk and feel you are likely to vomit, do not go into the nearest convenience store. I assure you, its workers vastly prefer you park behind the building and have a hurl there. By going into the actual building, you run the risk of losing control in front of the bags of ice and leaving a wide trail of hot dog, egg yolk, and a liter of some citrus-based soda all the way to the restroom, in the restroom, and all over the toilet furthest from the door (WHY GOD WHY?!?).

I suppose I've been pretty lucky at this store. We don't get a lot of horror story fodder here. Tonight, though....tonight sucked.

Spiderman Spoilers Ahoy! )

Yesterday Renay and I went to see her mom and clear out her Dad's room. We ended up mowing part of her considerable lawn instead, and then it started raining like whoa before we could burn anything. Alas. And Jonathan's unit is going for three more months of training before being sent to Iraq, so...bleh. I wonder if they'll send Aaron as well.

Ho hum.

There's greed, and then there's greed. Ugh.

I read three books over my break (go me!) and played some more Far Cry. Yeah, I know, it's a 3-year old game. I suck at video games. I did beat Katamari Damacy last week, though. weeeeee.

Next in line.

I'm going to try to get up by 10am. That's not an unreasonable goal, is it?

Today I read this book, which was pretty good. What's really weird is googling, say, Alex Lenderman and finding his website after reading about him in some random book.

The office was locked because someone had broken into it and stolen a bunch of crap. I guess this means it'll be closed on weekends now, since there's noone there then? I'm not sure. Ah, neighborhood. I'm so not going to miss you.

Sharon at work said if I'd stayed, I probably would have been next in line to be Sales Manager. hee.

The office was locked today, which is a pain. I really wanted to do laundry.

pffff. I'm living kind of dangerously here, I need to keep better track of cash inflow/outflow. I'm pretty much bleeding money. :(

Hot Fuzz looks pretty good. As does The Invisible.

The servers running flaming-monk and echthroi seem to be down. I'm hoping it's just some hiccup, as I don't know where the server status page is. If it's still down by the time I get back from work, I'll put in a help request.

Bills are finally all paid for this month. Hooray hand-to-mouth.

TMNT was awesome. I was first in theater five minutes before the showing, so I thought I'd be alone, but 20-30 people walked in during previews, so shucks. The movie itself was pretty formulaic, but I ain't complainin'.

Right now I'm staring at the code for FFA and thinking I'm an idiot. Working on this stuff piecemeal is a Really Bad Idea, and unfortunately it's usually my first idea. If I can get this metaphoric stone rolling, I think it'll more or less crush what obstacles there are, but man it's hard to put that much momentum into something I'm not super excited for. Wow, and saying it like that makes me feel like an awful person. D:

Well. Irregardless, I'm feeling pretty good. The tea helps.

Daniel sent me 1602, which was pretty darn good. I'd thought it was a canon unto itself, but...maybe not? Time stuff always leaves me confused. Nay may read it, if i can get her over the fact all of the characters have backstory. It's really not important here, neh? So you may not get it back for a while, dude.

Went and saw my folks on Tuesday. Didn't really get to do much, but it was nice to see them. Sam had an automatic nerf gun from Christmas with a 10-dart clip. Ooooh, yeah. heh, wish they had things like that when I was a kid. XD I'll probably see them again once more before Florida.

vra, vra. So much to do, so little will to do it. I've gotten 12 hours of sleep twice in the last week. o_0 Not good.

When I'm sad, or at least not in what people would call a good mood, I tend to attribute it to a lack of endorphins, and focus on supplying my brain with the means to produce more. It's a chemical thing, and I feel like I'm depressed (again, the wrong word, but I'm not going to type out what I really feel.) more often than not. It's possible this is due to how I treat how I feel, which is as I said, chemically. Maybe I'd be more productive if I treated how I feel with action rather than food and ghosting around the mall.

My wireless keyboard keeps jumbling letters and it's driving me crazy. o_0

I shouldn't be so excited, but...March 23, baby. Mutant turtles. Aw yeah. XD Maybe I'm just on a surreality kick. Watched three guy flicks last night (MI, MI3, and Crank), had really crazy dreams all morning. Literally woke up with my heart pounding a couple of times. o_0

Oh, sure NOW they make one. Maybe I can trade up from Daniel Jackson??

I finally bit the bullet and bought some running shoes and a Nano. I jogged/walked three miles this morning, with a very quick stop for an espresso and some water midroute (I didn't have a bottle of water handy at home.). If my legs hold up for the next week, I can very easily see this becoming a routine. Of course, that may just be the endorphins talking.

Ghost Rider was cheesy, but that's okay. I live for special effects anyway.

Oh my.

So I&W's ep Woman King is REALLY REALLY GOOD.

Did my taxes yesterday. 45 minutes of waiting in the hot sun for 15 minutes of, "Yes ma'am, no ma'am." Feh. I'll be getting 900 back gross, 700 net. Next year I think I'll try to do it by myself, save $200. XD Still, I'm rich! That's a whole month of rent, plus two bills. o_0

For the record, Valerie is super awesome (dare I say....a SUPERGIRL???) and can keep sekrits well.

Since Crossover is so limited (i.e. I couldn't get it to run what I wanted), I installed Parallels. After a bit of a hassle finding a valid copy of Windows XP (I reeeally need to learn to keep track of Product Keys), I ran my first proper Virtual Machine session. Windows XP within Mac OS X on an intel iMac. *flaps arms like a dork* Alas, Maple Story won't run, which seems to be due to the VM not using graphics hardware appropriately. So instead of shelling cash for Parallels, I'll wait until Leopard comes out and just use Boot Camp. I don't vitally need XP on Daniel Jackson right now, so meh.

Last Monday: 178.5 lbs.
This Monday: 178.5 lbs.

I didn't lose a pound, but I didn't gain one either. Considering I've been ~180 for months and months, it's not too shocking. Kinda pathetic, though, that I can't even lose one pound because I lack the willpower to say no to snacks at work. :\

Using this mood because it's so exaggerated I almost laugh. :)
